NO mr. BIG FONT....maybe there is no Genre as pop punk but there have been bands which were on pop side of punk....weezer is one of them

Obviously you dont listen to punk music or u would know that there is no way in gods name that u can combine pop like britney spears and Punk like exploited it would sound a bit stupid and i bet that if u looked up weezer it would probably say that they are rock!

u always talk in extremes...dont u angel? There have been bands in all genres which have their music inclination towards other genres.This is the reason there r sub genres aswell... just look in Metal how many sub genres there r...& yes Weezer is Punk...

Before hearing Dont Go I gave her a little credit for at least having rockish sounding music playing while she lip-synced, but listening to Dont Go is like listening to any Britney tune. She even tries to appeal to the ghetto people by saying "Too-gurr" instead of Together. Now thats just brilliant song writing

i cant say im a fan of her im not a sexcist nor do i have a problem with girl rockers but i think female voice with rock doesnt sound right to me, except for some Lucana Coil

I couldn't disagree more, female voices are great in rock songs. Fefe Dobson just sucks.

am i the only one who sees the hypocrisy in statements like this... tanjello has brought up great points in the fact that pop-punk DOES exist and has existed for a lot longer than what's been shown on mtv...

the only people i see calling crap like avril lavinge pop punk are the supposed 'real' punks who want something to complain about so that they can build up some structure within their chosen label... for a genre supposedly built on freedom and anarchy it sure seems to have devolved into a very strict and rigid subculture... have fun inside your box you fucking square
