Yulunga was also used in an episode of Law and Order. Needless to say I was rather suprised to hear it on there. It is indeed an awesome track.

Have not seen Baraka. I'll add it to my list.

I haven't really paid attention to lyrics yest, but I just looked them up for that song. Wow. Very, very cool.

I definitely like Lisa's singing better. Brendan isn't bad, he's very distinctive and all, but Lisa is not of this earth. Like you said, she can carry an entire song just by herself. Like "Song of the Sibyl" on Aion, which is almost entirely her vocals. It's beautiful. She's a very big reason why I'm suddenly so interested in the group.

Brendan Perry is essential to the band (cheesy as hell, too...), but Lisa Gerrard is from another planet entirely. Only the singer from Vas comes close, and the truth is, she actually doesn't come all that close.

But I do think Spiritchaser is a very underrated album. Most DCD fans don't like it, or don't like it very much. I have the all of their CD's, and it's actually one of my favorites.

Baraka is a movie that changed my life forever. It is still my favourite film. The part where the hungry and tierd donkeys walk wearily with the baggage (when DCD comes on) is the peak of the movie for me. I'm so happy for this film in my life. I would agree that Azam Ali (singer from Vas) is similar, but I cannot compare them. Azam is her own thang! I love her too. But DCD are one of the best bands in the Universe for me!

If you enjoyed Baraka you should see the films that inspired it: Koyaanisqatsi, Powaqqatsi, & Naqoyqatsi
