Overdrive

I love Overdrive. I love playing it and hearing it... if it's timed at the right time.
What are some of your favourite songs with overdrive and what are some of your favourite pedals (I'm currently in the market).
My favourite song with overdrive: Black Math by The White Stripes. I like the timing of it.

this is my pedal of choice... although over the last 2 years or so i became REALLY attached to a cheap volume pedal for dynamic control over my sound (especially when playing bass)...

and in terms of overdrive my favorite has to the smashing pumpkins cover of 'a girl called sandoz' it sounds like corgans guitar amp is on the verge of shredding itself

i had a dunlop original crybaby... and it broke... the vox has survived my foot and has a bassier sound (which i prefer hehe)... and contrary to popular belief and what dunlop likes to tell the public...

Wow, I never knew he played a Vox wah. I haven't played one, are they better than an original cryababy?

it's like the difference between a gibson and a fender... by default the crybaby has more high end range while the vox has more bass... you get a raunchier growl with a vox... they both run about the same price... i think i just had crappy luck with the (used) crybaby i bought... i've never been able to do a side by side test though...

I think I'm going to try one out. Anyone know what kind of wah Kim Thayil used?

the guys in soundgarden all used crybaby 535s later on in the span of the band(or at least they did ads for the pedals) hehhe

the 535s are the ones with the selector knob on the sound to determine what type of tonal range the pedal will provide... it always sounded like a cool concept to me but i never tried one...
