I miss Skunk Anansie too. :tongue:
And, personally, I feel that they weren't on the same sort of downward spiral that most of you thought that The Smashing Pumpkins were on.

I quite liked them... Especially Stoosh and Post Orgasmic Chill was good as well, never got the chance to see them live alas... And well Skin's solo music is just so polished, pop orientated and boring, so yeah I think it sucks that they quit...

Yeah, I was -quite- disappointed to miss Skunk Anansie live: They even did a show in South Africa in their final tour... It was a sad, sad day when I found out I had to miss it.
And I agree, Skin just doesn't cut it with the solo stuff.

skin's voice is amazingly powerful, songs from stoosh were excellent. i think it was inevitable that skin would want to go solo eventually. ive not heard any of her stuff, but from the posts, i dont think i'l bother!

but then again... it's not the kind of music I listen to nowadays... can't remember when I last listened to a cd of them... so I'm not that sad about them quitting...

it was a great band. and i'm glad i can say i saw them live!!!! it was the time "weak" was number one for me and i think i fainted at the beginning of the concert and just became conscious to see them leaving the stage... ok, not that dramatic an experience, but it was a good day  |

Post Orgasmic Chill cd was a present from my xxxxgf, who is the only one made me crawl sofar, that's why i have a feeling mixed w/love&hate for this historical band, can't think objectively, but what sooo apparent is:

1.words that have the negative prefix "ó-" meaning "un-" as in "unwilling" eg óhreinindi
2.words that have the prefix "all-" meaning "rather" or "very" eg allfeginn
in these two cases, the accent falls equally on the first two syllables or mainly on the second syllable.
