so ive been listen to nas alot lately, and have come to the conclusion that i find his tracks to be either real good or real bad. What do you guys think? What are your favorite nas tracks? which ones do you think blow?

In most basic terms I think Nas is an outstanding rapper. But like you said there are some very bad Nas song's.

Easily his best is the legendary Illmatic. That record is incredible and is the best Nas there is in my opinion.

It Was Written is another great album. It isn't quite as good as Illmatic though.

Stillmatic has a some good and some bad songs on it. It can't be appreciated in full like the other two I listed above. But some tracks like 'Rewind', 'Smokin', and 'Got yourself a gun' aren't bad.

I don't really like God's Son.

Really? i liked the reviews until the end. It wasnt his best but i kinda liked Gods Son. I used to start my summer nights pregaming, and pumpin that CD every now and then, it was good to chill out to.

Maybe thats just me though ...

another thing is.. nas has put out some really crap songs.. and those are the ones that get airplay on the radio.. a lot of his pther songs are actually pretty decent .. both lyrically and musically.. you jsut have to look beyond the radio...

Book of Rymes is a very well put together, unique song.

Otherwise....eh...if I just had to listen to rap I'd probably choose him.
