People just don't like him because they don't have the balls to say the stuff he says.

that's going a bit too far. i don't think that gay people dislike what he's saying because they hate gay people. i don't think women get upset over his speaking about murdering women because they want to murder women.

I don't dislike him, but I also don't wish I had the balls to threaten violence and death on people.

I don't have to brush up on anything drkatz. Freedom of Speech is NOT on it's way out. Eminem proves that a forked tounge makes money, and money makes the government go round'............There are a bunch of rich guys that sit in a room and run the country. They employ people to put a spin on this or that, and controversy $ell$. As long as people like Eminem are selling records, and the internet exists, Freedom of Speech is safe.........

I see that this thread has generated alot of posts. I wish I had the time to go back and see how the discussion has developed. But I will just say that considering the state of Rap today, there needs to be more guys like Eninem.

If you know much about his music, you will see that he's not about bitches, hoes, and bling-bling. He doesn't dress flashy and he doesn't drive a Benz. As well, his lyrics are honest, maybe to a fault, and he does address some aggressive angry feelings (which doesn't mean he acts on them people!), but at least he is genuine and up front.

Heck, if he hated gays why do a duet with Elton John?

eminem blows. the only respect i have for him from the endless barrage of friends and the media telling me he is good, and i can't help that. to me, eminem, britney, justin timberlake, TRL, MTV, VH1, the grammy's, the rock n roll hall of fame.. its all just one big selfserving machine and eminem is one of its cogs.

Heh! Eminem didn't know Elton was gay until after he did that song with him!

Ewww, I hope he didn't catch any gay germs! Just kidding!
Camiliojoe, you just hate anything popular huh? Sometimes real talent gets popular. People that hate what's popular are elitists in their own way, much like the elitists that push what's popular....Eminem can't help that he's popular, he's not tryin' to write pop songs at least....
