In Soulseek on the other hand you have to know some good users to get the files. Searches are also relatively weak and even if you find a user with the file you are probably on queue of quite some time.
I share more than 80G of mp3 files only. what are the right hubs?
no in soulseek you're never on queue if you share some good files, trust me!

An Idea cam across my head. I use WinMX all the time, great program for me. I was wondering if some one with a fast connection or whatever you need could host a room so we could trade music. It could be like a RM trading place. Maby Im just getting hyped up about it becuase the chat was some what succesful. Please tell me what you think of this idea.

in soulseek you can autojoin a room everytime you log in, so it would be very easy to find other members this way. All you have to do is to install soulseek, then join a chat room once and hit "autojoin" and it's okay for ever!

Alty, I listen to mostly metal, and so my favourite hubs in dc are,

AG PROG MUSIC & BLUES ROCK HUB (freemusic.no-ip.org)
Ultimatemetal DC Hub 2 (wintermute.sublevels.net)
Hubzilla (hubzilla.no-ip.com)
MetaL-NetT][Black-Metal] (metal-blackmetal.no-ip.com)
ind!ous indie life (indious.no-ip.com:4411)
UK's ROCK N' BLUES (1thunderace.no-ip.com)
Vomitcum Grind Hub (vomitcum.no-ip.org:421)
Rock Massive (rock-massive.no-ip.com)
HipHopHub - Come Get Some (hiphophub.no-ip.com)
Sublevels Prog Music (paladin.sublevels.net)

And as far as I've experienced, the mp3 collections for DC users are far better

Sure, sounds like an idea. We actually had a room awhile back. The member who made it left along time ago though. I am not on slsk much anymore though. So I can't keep one up. I am pretty sure a room you creat closes with your client.

I do have a room up right now though, simply called Radiomute.

thanks for your post Chiron, now I see how it works. You know, I tend to do like in eMule, just using the biggest servers. But now I know what I should do.
