Hmmmmm, Mingus, Magic Trout Replica, and DA CAPTAIN as your new avatar. This following Rahsaan, Ornette Coleman, Safe as Milk, P.E. and Halber Mensch.
Is this your way, of annoucing your official run for Brothaman in 2008?

I guess this actually goes in here, instead of the thread in General Music.
Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland

Big Brother and the Holding Company - Cheap Thrills
After this, maybe some more Jimi. I actually have enough CDs to hold a Jimi fest, although I don't think there'll be time tonight...

Translation:
I would like to thank you all for coming out.
I, Grasshoppa Jazzfromhell am officially announcing my run for Brothaman in 2008.
You will find the Coke (in bottles, of course) and food in the back. There is also of course, lots of Wasabi.
Thank You once again, for coming out.

Well, I don't know, maybe Vice-Brothaman. I'm pretty sure Geryon knows a good deal more than me in most genres (classic rock is the only possible exception I can think of, although I'm not sure about that). I tell you, I should start downloading if I want to ever catch up, but I don't see that happening, so I'll stick with the Vice position for now and build up some momentum for 2012.

Time to start the Psychological Warafare tactics.
P.S. If you notice, Brothaman might not know everything about all genres, but he knows DA ESSENTIAL S**T aka Brothamen don't play with hacks. Brothaman also knows at least one Genre, like a Brothaman should.
P.P.S. Satchmo doesn't have any Vice-Brothaman positions.

Oh, I see. I always thought the title of Brothaman went to someone who knows more than Satchmo, in any particular field of interest (in Brothaman Equinox's case, Electronica). Well, I suppose we'll see how things work out on the campaign trail, I'm not sinking any major funds into my party, yet.
Was looking for more psychadelic, and noticed an all time (as in, top 10) favorite that I haven't listened to in quite some time.

Hold on, you actually thought there was any chance in hell Young Grasshoppa Geryon was going to know any Genre better than Satchmo, and to top it off, by 2008? He might be 15 going on 56, but
WTF?
Overall, Brothaman might now Electronica better than Satchmo, but there are sub-genres within such, Satchmo is well Satchmo.

Yeah, well, that's why I was pretty intimidated, and didn't expect to reach such heights myself.
