The cd is not bad, but there aren't any songs that stand out (although I've only heard the first cd, and once). It's a relaxing listen though.

It's more than just a light show. It's almost like a play. I would also agree with you on the music, but how many plays would you just listen too. I think once you get the total package you would enjoy it more.

Tony Levin rocks!

running time 6:10 min...really cool mid eastern sounding extended intro with great guitar and keys...4:20 min of this before Grace starts to sing...really solid sound...the whole album is very very good, on par with the Airplane IMHO

I have had that for a couple months and really don't agree. It does have it's moments, but it is repetive and the drummers provide next to no variation in their drumming.

I prefer the group with Cotton Casino.

Did you read the liner notes?

I did read the liner notes - I liked, understood, and related to them fully

Repetitive music does not bother me, even repetitive drumming, if it fits and/or creates a mood I like, which this does, and the length/sustained intensity of the 2 pieces makes me happy... also, perhaps the 2 drummers will break free of each other in future recordings/performances? (Are they both on both tracks? I didn't notice yet but have been assuming)

The music strikes me as Mainliner/Mellow Out - ish, but without the teeth in your neck,
which is neither good nor bad, just another flavor - I prefer this one to Electric Heavyland, for example

I've heard a batch of recordings with Cotton but, though I don't mind her in the least, I am mostly struck with Kawabata and Higashi, probably because a) I am a guitar player (hence my original interest in the group) and b) they were in the group I got to see play live and she wasn't

I still haven't heard the last slew of studio AMT recordings, prior to Cosmic Inferno - there must be at least 8 or 9 of 'em, yes? Post-Cotton, I think for the most part, but I caught a vibe from that edition's (excellent) live show that failed to draw me to the albums... though the live recordings I've heard online have been solid (though fairly interchangable)
