It's weird listening to pre-David Clayton Thomas BS&T, and I don't like this album as much as Blood, Sweat & Tears (2) & 3. But I think it's the only purely psychedelic BS&T album. The other two, I consider to be an acid rock/acid jazz fussion. While Child is the Father to the Man obviously has jazz influence and a full wind section, I couldn't dare call it fussion. the song, The Battle from BS&T 3 is a lot more like what to expect from this record. It's also the only psychedelic track from the later two albums although phsychedelic influences stayed with them.

I love their verison of "Without Her" on that album...

Cool, that's my favorite track from "Tales"...I'm listening to Yes as well, just starting "Roundabout" (from the recently released Rhino comp, The Ultimate Yes)
