Man, that's a tough question. It's really hard to describe because it's so different from anything else being done at that time. One example is the song Blue Form which starts out like vintage Airplane, right down to the group harmonies, then switches gears and reminds me of Miles and Coltrane. I quess it's kinda a bluesy, jazzy, psych fusion, if thats possible and if it is possible, Fankhauser pulls it off perfectly. If you know Fapardokly, with it's more pop oriented flavor, Mu would be like the Beatles progression from Rubber Soul to The White Album. Some say it leans towards Prog, and I guess in a way it does in the structure of the songs, but not really in the symphonic way. Syd, if you can find it you owe it to youself to get it. It is truly a masterpiece.
