I think of post-Document R.E.M. albums the same way you think of smileys. Heck, even some of the pre-Document stuff is that way.

OK, this is tough, but if I had to pick one song to listen to from each post-Document album, I'd go with the following: "Orange Crush" (Green), "Country Feedback" (Out of Time), "Try Not To Breathe" (Automatic for the People), "Crushed With Eyeliner" or maybe "I Don't Sleep, I Dream" (Monster). I haven't heard the other albums.

By the way, I just listened to my Life's Rich Pageant CD for the first time in ages and realized that I have to sell it. It doesn't do anything for me anymore. How sad. I may have to sell all of my R.E.M. albums now... Ack!

Think that one through carefully, horakhti...about 20 years or so back I got rid of a bunch of gospel albums I thought I'd "outgrown", only to re-buy every one of them I could get my hands on a few years down the road...and one of the ones I want back the most I can't even find!

You're absolutely right. Maybe I'm just not in the mood right now for them. I've done the same thing, gotten rid of albums and rebought them a few years later. One of them is out-of-print (a Swans album) and I haven't been able to find it anywhere for less than $100 (at least not in good condition). It's not like any of these R.E.M. albums would go out-of-print, but still. Alright, I'll keep them, and maybe try them again in a year or two. Thanks.

yup, my favorite from Swans! I can upload White Light for the Mouth of Infinity for you on soulseek. just let me know.

or you can still order the 2CD Various Failures from their offical site for 18 bucks. it has versions of previously unreleased tracks from the "bunny" albums and Burning World.

http://www.swans.pair.com/

sorry to go off topic.

the accent of icelandic words falls in almost all cases on the first syllable. the exceptions are

1.words that have the negative prefix "ó-" meaning "un-" as in "unwilling" eg óhreinindi
2.words that have the prefix "all-" meaning "rather" or "very" eg allfeginn

in these two cases, the accent falls equally on the first two syllables or mainly on the second syllable.
