agreed... but in terms of contemporary music (as in the last 50 years) he's the man... especially in terms of what would be considered the alternative to the social norm...

yeah, iam sorta. You'd definitely have to break this poll down into some sort of sections... Looking at the scope of music, it's far too difficult to pin one person down as the most talented musician of all time...

There are different definitions of talented, and the best we could probably do would be to whittle down to a shortlist of around 100 or so musicians who are on par with each other, possibly. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses, see.
