ive previuosly used other versions of cubase, such as vst 32, and it all worked fine on my pc. however, now ive installed sx, i have this huge playback problem which i cant figure out. everytime i playback midi or audio, the whole program just slows down, and it takes at least 4 seconds for the sound to come out. when i can eventually hear it, it stutters and misses out midi messages and i cant even get audio files to playback at all. all my other programs work fine (sonar for example). ive tried increasing the buffer size, ive tried recording single midi tracks and playing back to see if theres any difference. i dont have any other programs working simultaneosly which would slow it down.
anyone got any ideas?, as i cant think of anything else (other than sx sucks ass)

Join the club!!!!!I have the same problem as you do but it's between Cubase SX and SX 2....I think there is just no way to cure it.......well...Cubase sometimes really sucks..
