What I heard of him reminded me a bit of Glenn Gould's Solitude Trilogy.
Cecil Taylor - Tayassus Pecaris & Peat, which make up discs 9 & 10 of Taylor's Feel trio's 2 Ts for a lovely T set.
As expected Cecil is incredible through these 10 discs and Tony Oxley is excellent. William Parker on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. Parker seems to be basically playing the same patterns throughout and I don't like his arco playing. I wish this was a set of solo or only a duo with Oxley. It is a shame that Barry Guy or one of the other greats was not used instead of Parker.
