I'd suggest that you acquire it soon...it's quite good.

Personally, I love them all...it's impossible for me to decide which album to suggest starting off with, but if you're going through Clamazon, I'd say get their debut release Uprosted Slov, if only because, when I ordered it, it came with a bonus disk of their live performance in 1999 in British Columbia in flawless sound...I'd say THAT is probably my favorite Uz Jsme Doma release; their live sound on that disk actually surpases any of their studeo releases...

would you say they relate to the Ruins at all? and is this album worth purchasing?

Well, I like it. I don't know if I'd compare them to Ruins at all...their instrumentation and arrangements are more diverse (( not to suggest that they're better at all )) and they're more accessible, in general, with more pop influences...sort of like Deerhoof, Snowpony and the Boredoms mixed together, but more spacey and textural, with less emphasis on sheer aggression and insanity like Boredoms, but just as diverse...

Maybe try and see if you can download some tracks before you buy it, but it's enjoyable...
