Schoenberg's Piano Concerto, which I can't get enough of.

And does Penguin Cafe Orchestra count as Avant-Garde?

There's not paying attention, and there's being completely oblivious to the world at large.

Best studio album they've done, in my not very humble opinion.

The Pop Group - Y

Don't think this one nearly lives up to its reputation, but it ain't bad for a bit of chaotic pubk-funk.

2CD comp of obscure, but excellent, early American industrialists from 1979-1982.

Suishou no Fune - Suishou no Fune

I was in Amoeba some time ago and this was playing in the jazz/world/blues/folk section, and I liked it a lot, so I asked what it was. The guy at the counter explained that it was OOP and the copy they were playing was a used copy, the only one they had in stock. I'd never heard of them, but it sounded good to me, so I bought it. Definitely a worthwhile purchase, especially since it's OOP and they were selling it for like $12. Big loud Japanese psychedelic metal feedback kinda stuff, reccomended for fans of Boris and the like, I suppose.
