I like Sugizo's solo stuffs.
Sugizo is the lead guitarist from a japanese band called Luna Sea. They disbanded in 2000, but Sugizo still works on projects with his other bands, like "The Flare", "Spank Your Juice" and "SHAG".
Great stuff, anyone should check the out.

On a related note, I recently picked up Zorn's collaborative DVD release w/ Ken Jacobs, their Nervous Magic Lantern experiments...
...it's interesting, I suppose. Honestly, I think I've actually come across something too abstruse for me to appreciate at all.
It's rare that I find myself completely regretting a purchase, but this one was simply not worth the $30 investment. Worse yet, I'd chosen it over the Xenakis DVD that was sitting next to it.

Let me make sure I understand, did ever cross your mind to ask Satchmo his thoughts before spending actual money? You do know, as a Grasshoppa (especially a unofficial official translator) the peons get all pms/emails to me as soon as possible?

Well, it was an impulse buy, and one of those rare times when I actually picked something up in a physical store rather than online. I wasn't actually looking for either of them but I stumbled onto them and could only afford one at the time.
Oh well, I'll probably pick up the Xenakis later on...that is, if it's worth it, since I can ask you now.

I was gonna say, I just about always know how good anything I'm buying is before I get it. More often than not, or at least very, very often, that information comes from Satchmo.
