Kondo recorded for John Zorn's Tzadik label, but Zorn didn't want to release it.

I almost bought a solo album Kondo did in the 80s, but it was really really aweful.

So I didn't buy it.

Zorn didn't like Kondo's use of electronics when playing the trumpet.

That seems odd of Zorn...hasn't Tzadik always prided itself on "total creative freedom" for its artists?!? Weird...

This is from Eugene Chadbourne (free jazz guitarist/banjo player)

'One project that may never see the light of day, however, is an album of solo electric trumpet recorded for Tzadik; label honcho John Zorn apparently prefers this artist's (Kondo's) acoustic playing and refused to release it'
