Montreal is equally inspiring. in my opinion, Teartear is one of the most gut-wrenching tracks they've produced during their early days.

Thanks, I'll check that out...
Passarani and Lock were suggested on another forum. ...
I bought the only Passarani CD I found - "Unspeakable Future Outbreaks", and I actually enjoy a few of the tracks, one is fairly "close" to Silverside, as an idea, but far too dark and simple in style - track 3, "NNĂ˜"; the next track is pretty fuckin hot, actually - very cinematic; I wouldn't be surprised to hear it as a 6min. intro to some Sci-Fi down-town street battle scene. I recommend you check it out.
I bought one Lock album - "While"; but all of it was far too similar to Autechre to turn me on.... In fact if it had a different label, I'd have guessed it was from Autechre.. but I liked it's cover-art a'lot more than the music... I've put it up for sale right where I bought it -on Amazon.com
It's still on my list to have those unknown tracks available to my campaign :+) - for download that is...

Oh! I had forgotten the other track names on Amber - the only Autechre Album I didn't sell. I just assumed you were referencing something other that Autechre... "Nil" and "Teartear" are actually similar in style to a couple tracks on "U.F.O" (Passarani).
Of course after hearing Silverside, I had to buy the album even if the rest of it's minutes were pure silence... But Silverside isn't the only track on that album I can't get enough of; I'll loop track 9, "
Yulquen", for an hour straight and just enjoy; it's very ambient... "Biosphere" = ambient = good.

sorry you paid so much. there are some other great sources to buy from too. i used to buy strictly from amazon as well due to security woes and such, but really there are some quality companies to get your albums from.
im sure you've tried ebay, but if not, you can find some fairly affordable values there. i'd also recommend bent crayon as well. just keep searching around. im sure Equinox could give you plenty of good sources.

even Lexaunculpt's Blurring of Trees can offer some incredible melodic inspiration. since Silverside is a construction of traditional orchestration with well placed suspensions and dissonant modulation, you would especially respect Graham's work here. definitely check it out.
you will notice his programming is immaculate. all of his synth work here is deceptive in presentation due to the fact that the average listener may perceive it to be the London Symphony. nope, this is all Graham and his dope synth filters.

Well, for that Global Communication album, "76:14", I paid just 11 bucks....
Actually, I was just thinkin' to ask if anyone knew of a site to buy Biosphere albums from - the CD's on his official site are a bit steep, and I've bought all available off Amazon.
It's beyond my patience to do much searching online with a 56K connection - and tough on my bank account since its all but impossible to download enough music to sort through and find what's good before buying (which is, believe it or not, exactly what I do - or did, when I had an 8Mbps(!) connection).
I'll take your word on that one (The Blurring of Trees) and spend 14 bucks on it; that's less that a 10'th of a usual month's credit card posts from Amazon... I keep reminding myself of the tab this builds up pretty fast, but every once in a while it's all worth it, for albums like:
Orbient - Music for the ISS (well, that one was no accident; I searched!)
The bonus disc of Tosca's Dehlii 9 (which was a complete surprise - and I hadn't heard music like it before; but ever since, every few weeks, my stack of ambient piano albums rises a quarter inch)
and my favorite of a different country on the electronica map:
Swayzak - Snowboarding in Argentina... I've got almost all of Swayzak's albums (everythng from Amazon)
and just the other week:
Biosphere - Shenzhou (GOOD LORD!). The cover of the digipack says, "[tracks] one through ten based on the orchestral works of Claude Debussy" which can be a good thing, and in this case, most definitely is.
If you haven't heard this one; I suggest you spend some money.
