Just wondering how many (a) Albums

many many many... My pop used to review albums on the side, so record companies would have me on their mailing list. I'd guess that I could listen to music for over a year without sleeping at not hear the same track twice. My iTunes says I've got 5 days of music on it, but I only move Lounge, Trance, and any music I'm using for productions onto the laptop.

i'm not going to count since my music collection is currently split across half of canada... but from what i remember i've got something like 300 cds... 40 singles... and about 60 vinyls... but the peak of my music purchasing was about 7 years ago... i MIGHT buy 1 new cd per month now... if i can find something i actually want... i also don't have the cashflow to buy cds that i only kind of like... but the new boards of canada should be worthy...

Actually, it's funny that you post this -- I'm in the process of cataloguing all of my music. I was going to make a thread for everyone to post what music they own but I guess you beat me to it! I own just over 2,000 albums of rock, jazz, electronica, ethnic, classical, avant-garde, etc. I've sold most of the original disks and have converted all of it to high-quality compressed digital audio (I hate CDs), and it's a hell of a lot easier to organize all of it that way.

I'll post exactly what I own when I'm done.…
