I guess that's one way of looking at it...but honestly, I am very thankful and consider myself quite lucky that I got to watch and listen to it happen first hand as a wide-eyed and innocent child in the 1960s.

Flaunting your age and wisdom again huh??? ... Well, I would have liked to experience it first hand, but I was just too young to do so.. I do remember getting into several Beatle songs when I was very young, but their greatness really didn't hit me until I was in my early teens... So, many of us had to do it later on when we were old enough to appreciate it... And, at the very height of my Beatle interest (when I was going to Beatle conventions, posters of the band all over my childhood room, collecting obscure bootlegs and international recordings) is when Lennon was killed... It was obviously a major blow to my world (as it was for millions of others), but the timing was weird for me due to the fact of my interest in them was at its highest peak (I was a total Beatle freak,,, oh,,, I forgot,,, I still am,, lol )...

To be able to listen to The Beatles again with virgin beatles ears, that would be sweet.

I'd love to here side 2 of Abbey Road for the first time again.

Maybe that's why I found "Let It Be...Naked" so enjoyable when it came out late last year. It was a "first time again" kind of thing for me.

Which Beatles albums do you own GeneralElectric?

So far I've only got three. Pepper, Magical Mystery, and Abbey Road. I've got many of their songs on mp3 format, but I plan on getting the rest of the Beatles albums over time. Much easier thing to do - getting all of the Beatles albums vs getting all the Kinks albums, which is also a goal of mine.

Do whatever is in your power to get the Beatles White Album, Revolver and Rubber Soul as soon as you can... Oh how I wish I could pop on Rubber Soul for the first time and take in its timeless musical glory... I would say the same thing about The White Album, but there are some tracks on it that take time to digest (same goes for Revolver)... But Rubber Soul is a joy from the first listen...

Long term I think Revolver and The White Album are more rewarding, but Rubber Soul is such a treat... (And it has one of the coolest album covers in my opinion)...

I cannot believe how envious I am of you, I've been working my butt off to find vintage Beatles vinyl, and you have it fall into your lap. I've been thinking about trying E-bay, but don't really trust it. Oh well, just wanted to let you know how lucky you are

I've never really listened to the Beatles properly except for a couple of songs. I want to find out what I'm missing!

I've been meaning to get round to doing it for a while though, mind you- but this has made me feel like doing something about it now! lol. Maybe it's my sleepy sleep deprived brain being easily influenced.. Either way I don't mind.

*starts humming out an imaginary tune to I am the walrus*
